In Ellicott City

The move to Ellicott City Maryland has gone splendidly.  I have been extremely busy these days which is a good thing.

This has really been a good test for my Reiki skills this last year.  There have been a lot of issues, and challenges.  It truly taught me the meaning of what Usui's first princple was, "Just for today, do not worry."  It is very easy to get caught up into the what if's when life is throwing things at you, usually with more than one issue at a time.  It is then the rubber meets the road, and everything that you learn from Reiki comes into play.  I have been very blessed to learn this modality as well as to have taught it.  It has been a life saver on more than one occasion.

I have always said that faith and fear are two sides of the same coin.  If we have faith to fear the unknown, then we have faith to have faith.  The difference is in where we put our intent and energy.  Negative energy pulls us down, it evaporates hope, it makes body, soul and spirit ill.  If we turn that around and use the same faith that says something terrible is going to happen, and say something positive will happen instead, that is where we will see a true difference in outcome.

I remember talking with someone about this not too long ago, and they simply did not believe that intent had anything to do with outcome.  Then they thought well, why not try.  They tried and yes intent did make a difference.  While it may seem strange or foreign to us to say something when our emotions are screaming otherwise, I have found that if you put faith first, eventually emotions follow.  It just seems to be the law of the universe!
